HINSDALE, IL - While many of his classmates have taken to supporting gun control, Kyle Kashuv has advocated for more guns in schools in the 13 months since the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Kashuv, a survivor of the Parkland shooting spoke to the Conservatives Club at Hinsdale Central High School last Friday with a pro-gun message, The Doings - Hinsdale publication of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Kashuv presented statistics that showed shooters are either killed or flee when another armed person confronts them. He told students and teachers that background checks could be a good thing if done right, but that overall more gun control laws are not the answer.
