Prospect Students Participate in "SingFest" Event

Eight students from Prospect School were selected to participate in the Anima Young Singers of Greater Chicago's SingFest on April 16 in Elmhurst. Anima is an internationally recognized youth choral organization. The 5th graders participated in rehearsals and workshops with conductor Emily Ellsworth and guest conductor and composer Stephen Hatfield from Vancouver, Canada. The full choir was made up of students in grades 5-12 from Chicago area schools, as well as a guest choir from California and the Anima Young Singers.

Music teacher Erin Kozakis notes, "The fifth graders did an outstanding job representing District 181!"
