Raise For Hinsdale D-86 Superintendent Removed From Agenda

The school board was set to vote on a pay increase for the superintendent, but it was taken off the agenda hours beforehand.

HINSDALE, IL – The Hinsdale High School District 86 board is poised to give 1.4 percent raises for all administrators and nonunion staff.

The highest-paid employee, Superintendent Tammy Prentiss, was slated to receive $264,300 next school year, a $3,600 increase. Her contract is set to expire in June 2024. Her raise was originally on the meeting agenda, but was removed Thursday afternoon. District spokesman Chris Jasculca said the removal would be discussed during the meeting.

The other top-paid administrators are Chief Financial Officer Josh Stephenson ($198,600), Assistant Superintendent of Academics Chris Covino ($186,700), Chief Information Officer Keith Bockwoldt ($183,500), Hinsdale Central Principal Bill Walsh ($181,800) and Hinsdale South Principal Patrick Hardy ($176,000), who starts in July.

The school board plans to vote on the raises at its meeting Thursday night.
