The agents raised more than $1500 along with generous donations of books and household items, as part of the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation Week of Kindness.

To fundraise, agents from the Hinsdale office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group became bartenders for a night for a fundraiser at Cine Taqueria. Tips along with a portion of the proceeds went towards the five partner agencies and KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation.

The effort continued as office transformed their parking lot into a collection site for non-perishable food items, clothing, household items, furniture, books, toiletries, duffle bags and backpacks. The partner agencies set up collection stations onsite, and Boerman Moving & Storage provided transportation and volunteers for large and heavy items.

“Our agents are very committed to improving the quality of life for all of our neighbors. There is need everywhere,” said Terri Doney, Vice President and Managing Broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hinsdale office. Terri continued, “The Hinsdale community was fantastic in participating in both of our events. So many people braved the rain and cold weather at our collection drive. We had cars lined up waiting to donate items, despite the challenging weather!”

“We had a great turn-out at both events and it just shows how much we can accomplish when we work together. It was amazing to see how our office team, along with our friends, clients, families and the community at large, could have some fun and at the same time make a difference in other people’s lives,” said Tina Porterfield, Broker at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group. Tina continued, “Our community agencies were fantastic supporters of this first-year effort and we’re excited to see it grow in years to come!”
