Reason For Hinsdale Investigation Still Unclear

The department is the subject of an "independent evaluation." Patch gets response to public records request about inquiry.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale officials have not provided details on the reasoning for an "independent evaluation" of the village's fire department. The inquiry is being conducted by a Chicago law firm.

Last Thursday, Hinsdale Patch filed a public records request for any complaints or grievances that led to the investigation involving attorney Eric Pruitt from Cotsirilos, Tighe, Streicker, Poulos and Campbell, LT and the fire department.

On Wednesday, Village Clerk Christine Bruton responded, "The Village has conducted a thorough search and has no records responsive to this request."
