Residents Advised Of Recent Car Thefts, Burglaries: Sheriff
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to be vigilant in securing their vehicles and homes.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to be vigilant in securing their vehicles and homes, due to groups of criminals striking in multiple cities throughout the county. The sheriff's office has responded to several reports of stolen vehicles and vehicle burglaries over the past few days.
Police said generally, these groups travel to DuPage County from Chicago during the overnight hours and target vehicles that are left unlocked. They will park a car in the street and leave it running with the doors open so they can make a quick getaway, according to police.
If you see this or any suspicious people or activity, call 911 immediately. Police said residents should not take action, as these criminals often are armed with guns.
