Retail Theft, DUI: Hinsdale Cops

A person was twice seen stealing alcohol from a local store, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police reported two crimes over the last week. Here is information from the reports:

Retail theft

  • A person was seen on surveillance video stealing bottles of alcohol about 8 p.m. on both Feb. 20 and Feb. 28 at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. The thefts were reported Feb. 29. The case is pending.

DUI

  • A 43-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Friday at Ogden Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane use, speeding, disobeying a lane control signal, and transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver. The woman submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
