Running Car Stolen From Driveway: Hinsdale Cops
A suspect was seen on a camera leaving a stolen blue sedan, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — A 2016 Toyota Highlander was stolen while it was running in a driveway shortly after 3 p.m. Jan 17 in the 700 block of North Oak Street, Hinsdale police said. Inside the car were $150 in cash, credit and debit cards, a checkbook, sunglasses, a handbag, a garage door opener and an I-Pass.
According to police, a suspect was seen on a nearby surveillance camera leaving a blue sedan, which was reported stolen from Forest Park. It was found at Fuller and County Line roads. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white shoes.

- A decorative sled was stolen from a porch between Jan. 10 and Jan. 14 in the 700 block of Woodside Avenue.
- Someone threw eggs at a car parked in the 600 block of South Monroe Street between 6 and 10:30 p.m. Jan. 16.
- Andriy Bindas, 52, of Volo, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 600 block of West Walnut Street on charges of DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police were dispatched to Bindas' car, where he was found unresponsive at first. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol level. An open container of whiskey was found in his car. He was released to appear in court.
- Brian P. Doherty, 62, of Willowbrook, was arrested shortly after midnight Jan. 18 at Hinsdale Avenue and Washington Street on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police came into contact with Doherty after they were called to an accident involving property damage. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol level. He was released to appear in court.
- A total of $2,793 went missing from an office safe between Dec. 11 and Jan. 17 at RML Specialty Hospital, 5601 S. County Line Road.
- Moesha D. Ferguson, 23, of Alsip, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Jan. 21 in the 500 block of South County Line Road on a charge of driving with a suspended license. The suspect was released to appear in court.
