See Video Of Hinsdale Cop Stopping Burglary
Officer chases suspects, but ends the pursuit because of speed, report says.
HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale officer interrupted a burglary in the 500 block of Lincoln early Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post from the Hinsdale Police Department. The suspects sped off east on Ogden Avenue to Interstate 294, where the pursuit ended because of speed.

Burglaries to unlocked cars and garages have been reported within the last week in the 600 block of South Monroe, the 900 block of South Bruner, the 600 block of East Third and the 600 block of Dalewood.

A 2019 Mercedes GLS was stolen from a garage in the 400 block of North Bruner on Saturday and has since been recovered. The vehicle was found, but totaled in a crash on the Bishop Ford Expressway in the south suburbs, police said.
These burglaries are occurring in the overnight hours and the offenders are targeting unlocked cars, and if the cars contain a garage door opener, they will then burglarize the garage, police said. The Hinsdale Police Department is reminding residents to lock their property and remove their FOBs from their cars.
