A Spook-Tacular Event - Halloween House Decorating Contest at Clarendon Hills Park District

It's not "boo" late to enter the Clarendon Hills Park District's Annual Halloween House Decorating Contest! Three top homes will be selected for prizes in this competition, with final judging scheduled to take place between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 24. A team of "friendly ghosts" from the Clarendon Hills Park District's recreation staff will be flying across town that evening, searching for the winning "haunted houses" in our community. All judging will be based on originality, creativity and the arrangement of seasonal decorations. The only rule of the contest is that homeowners and members of their immediate families are responsible for the installation and set-up of all displays -- no "ghost decorators" allowed! This event is free of charge! To enter the contest, please e-mail your family's name and home address to valeriel@clarendonhillsparkdistrict.org no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 21. In-person registration is being accepted at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
