Still Fewer Virus Cases In Hinsdale D-86
One employee tested for the coronavirus last week, district says.
HINSDALE, IL — One of every 1,000 students in Hinsdale High School District 86 had the coronavirus as of late last week, according to a district report.
As of Friday, Hinsdale Central reported two coronavirus cases among students, the same as a week earlier. Hinsdale South also had two cases, down from three a week before. That makes for a total of four cases district-wide.
Of the district's nearly 4,000 students, about 0.1 percent have the virus, according to the latest statistics.

Lyons Township High School is also at 0.1 percent, while Elmhurst's York High School is at 0.3 percent.
One district employee had the coronavirus as of Friday, the same as a week earlier.

The number of coronavirus cases at Hinsdale Central and South has dropped for more than a month.
According to the district, 59 percent of South students and 82 percent of Central students are fully vaccinated. The staff rate is 95 percent.
On Friday night, the school board dropped its mask mandate.
