Stolen Campaign Sign, Car Burglary: Hinsdale Cops

An unlocked car was burglarized, but nothing appeared to be taken, reports says.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department released its later police blotter. Here is information from the reports:

  • Michael Sekyra, 36, of Bolingbrook, was cited about 4:30 a.m. Saturday at 55th and Quincy streets on a charge of driving with a revoked license. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • An unlocked car in the 400 block of Old Surrey Road was burglarized between 6 p.m. Sept. 10 and 1 p.m. Sept. 11. The car was parked on the road. The car's console was ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • Bathroom stalls and other sanitary equipment were damaged on Sept. 10 or Sept. 11 at Brook Park, which is in the 300 block of East Third Street.
  • A political sign was stolen Sept. 8 in the 200 block of East Hickory. The report did not indicate the sign's message.
