
The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
DUI
- Nathan Kretz, 29, of Plainfield, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Aug. 7 at 55th Street and I-294 for DUI-alcohol, disobeying a traffic control signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol. An open container of vodka was found in the car.

- An unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 0-100 block of South Park Avenue was entered sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 13. Sunglasses, valued at $300, were stolen.
Theft
- A man was observed on surveillance video stealing two chairs from a yard in the 400 block of South Adams at 6:52 a.m. Aug. 10. The chairs were valued at $120 each. The suspect was described as a white male between 40-50 years old, wearing a navy colored shirt and tan cargo shorts. He left in a black Jeep Cherokee.
Motor Vehicle Theft

- A 2017 BMW X1 was stolen from a driveway in the 700 block of Bittersweet Lane sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 7 and 7 a.m. Aug. 9. The victim thought the car was locked and that the keys were inside the car. The car was recovered in the 11100 block of South Ashland Avenue by Chicago Police Department.
