Stolen Car, Possession Of Heroin: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Aug. 20.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Fraud

  • An unkonwn man and woman attempted to cash a check in the amount of $983 using a bank card and ID that were reported stolen. The incident occurred at 4:49 p.m. Aug. 17 at BMO Harris Bank, 120 W. Hinsdale Ave. The suspects were described as a white man in his 20s with a bear and wearing a baseball hat, and the other was a white woman in her 20s with black hair in a black Range Rover.

Possession of controlled substance

  • Sean Kenney, 34, of St. Charles, was arrested at 12:44 p.m. Aug. 17 at Bob O Link Drive and County Line Road for improper lane use, obstructing justice and possession of controlled substance (tested positive for heroin). He was taken to Cook County Jail.

DUI

  • Eric Mallo, 23, of Chicago, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. Aug. 19 at 55th Street and Stough for improper lane use and DUI-alcohol. Incident: DUI

Possession of drug equipment

  • Thomas Flores, 42, of Roselle, was arrested at 10:12 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 600 block of The Lane for possession of drug equipment and obstructing identification.

Theft

  • Three temporary yield signs were stolen from Third Street and Princeton Road sometime between 12 p.m. Aug. 17 and 9:35 a.m. Aug. 20. One of the signs was found in a resident's yard in the 300 block of Springlake.

Burglary to motor vehicle

  • A wallet was stolen out of a car in the 500 block of South Lincoln at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20. The victim is unsure if the car was locked, and there were no signs of forced entry.

Motor vehicle theft

  • A 2010 Volkswagen CC was stolen from the 100 block of West Fifth Street sometime overnight on Aug. 19 to Aug. 20. It is unknown if the car was locked.
