Stolen Car Unlocked, With Keys Inside: Hinsdale Cops
In another case, a Westmont woman was arrested on a DUI charge.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Vehicle stolen
- A 2021 Land Rover Range Rover was stolen about 1 a.m. Thursday from a driveway in the 100 block of East Fifth Street. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside.
DUI

- Yazmine Dominguez, 25, of Westmont, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, transportation of open alcohol by a driver, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. An open container of alcohol was found in the car. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Converter thefts
- Catalytic converters were stolen from two vehicles overnight Sept. 12 in the Colonial Gardens Apartments parking lot, 5500 S. Madison Ave. The repair costs are estimated at $1,750 for one car, $1,200 for the other. The cases are pending.

- An outer glass pane window on a house was damaged overnight Sept. 14 in the 800 block of North Madison Street. The damage appeared to have been caused by a BB gun.
Car burglary
- A car was burglarized about 4 a.m. Sept. 13 in a driveway in the 900 block of South Quincy Street. The victim observed the suspect on a surveillance camera enter the car and leave in a dark sedan. A total of $100 was stolen.
Package stolen
- A package valued at $278 was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 pm. Sept. 1 from a common area in a condominium building in the 300 block of Claymoor Road. The report was filed Monday.
Fraud
- A suspect opened a cellphone account Aug. 30 in the name of a resident in the 500 block of County Line Court. A balance of $1,078 is due. The report was filed Tuesday.
- A resident in the 400 block of West 58th Place told police he sold merchandise for $449 to another person Sept. 3. Afterward, the suspect requested a refund and returned a cheaper product than what the victim sent. The case is pending.
Bicycle theft
- A bicycle valued at $500 was stolen between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sept. 13 at Hinsdale Central High School, 5500 S. Grant St. The case is pending.
Fireworks complaint
- Police were called to a fireworks complaint about 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Robbins Park, 303 W. Seventh St. A sink in the women's bathroom was damaged.
