Stolen Laptop, Threatening Texts: Hinsdale Cops

A company has been unable to retrieve a computer that was delivered to the wrong address, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their weekly blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Theft

  • A business in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue told police Wednesday that a company laptop was delivered to the wrong address. Information technology staff discovered the laptop was being used. The business has been unable to retrieve it.

  • A resident in the 900 block of South Grant Street told police about receiving threatening text messages from a stranger from Jan. 25 to Jan. 30.
  • A person in the 10 block of East First Street told police Monday about receiving a threatening email from someone the person knows.

DUI

  • A person was suspected of DUI and driving on a revoked license about 10 a.m. Jan. 30 in the 200 block of East Ogden Avenue. The suspect submitted a urine sample for testing. Charges are pending a lab report.

  • A resident in the 300 block of North Oak Street told police Monday about someone making fraudulent transactions using the resident's bank account.
