Super Bowl Effort Yields 10 Citations In Hinsdale

Police official says streets were safer as a result of the law enforcement campaign.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department's recent Super Bowl campaign resulted in a DUI arrest and 10 speeding citations for a variety of traffic violations, a news release said. The campaign was Jan. 31 to Feb. 3.

"Because of these efforts to crack down on impaired drivers and ensure more people buckle up, the streets were safer over Super Bowl weekend," Deputy Police Chief Thomas Lillie said in the release. "Keeping impaired drivers off the roads save lives.
