Suspects Steal From Hinsdale Landscapers: Police
Concrete saws and other equipment taken from trucks in broad daylight, reports say.
HINSDALE, IL — In recent days in Hinsdale, thieves have been targeting landscapers and stealing their equipment, police said. Here is information from police reports:
- A saw valued at $800 was stolen from a landscaping truck about 11:15 a.m. Aug. 6 in the 400 block of East Fourth Street.
- Three chainsaws valued at $2,800 were stolen from a landscaping company truck about 11:30 a.m. Aug. 6 in the 300 block of East Sixth Avenue.
- A concrete saw valued at $1,000 was stolen from a landscaping work trailer about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 300 block of South Park Avenue.
- A concrete saw valued at $1,200 was stolen from a man's truck bed while parked in front of his house about noon Aug. 4 in the 100 block of North Washington Street. The suspect was described as a black man wearing all white clothing. He left in a white SUV.
