Test Driver Steals Hinsdale Dealer Car: Police

Person who gets an extended test drive doesn't return it at agreed-upon time, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department released its latest police blotter. Here is information from the reports:

  • A person who took an extended test drive of a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT at Land Rover Hinsdale, 336 E. Ogden Ave., didn't return the car at the agreed-upon time Wednesday. The person filled out an online credit application beforehand. The case is pending.
  • A resident in the 5500 block of County Line Road reported a theft of packages from the front porch between Dec. 19 and Dec. 27.
  • Kaila Leah Launderdale, 18, of Chicago, was cited at 10 p.m. Saturday at Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving without a registration light. The suspect was stopped for an equipment violation. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Aisha L. Odeneal, 44, of Hopkinsville, Ky., was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday at Route 83 and Burlington Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to signal when required and possession of open alcohol by a driver. Police saw Odeneal slumped over the wheel while her car was pulled over to the side of the road. She refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Alcala Francisco Arrequin, 32, of Chicago, was arrested about noon Sunday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
