Theatre of Western Springs Fundraiser

The Theatre of Western Springs (TWS) presents a wild west based fundraiser. Food, drinks, music, games, dancing, raffles, a costume contest.

The Theatre of Western Springs (TWS) presents an extravaganza of food and fun titled, “Wild, Wild Western Springs” from 6 – 10 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at TWS, 4384 Hampton. The public is warmly welcome.

“Howdy Pardner,” said Tammy O’Reilly, an Active at TWS from La Grange who is co-chair of the event. “Put your boots on and mosey on over for the wildest party in the west. There will be food, drinks, music, games, dancing, raffles, a costume contest, and lots of fun.”

Advance Ticket $40 ($45 if purchased at the door)

The most valuable prize is the Golden Horseshoe raffle at $100 a ticket. The winner can choose a destination within the Vacation International Resorts Club. There are 50 resort locations in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. including Hawaii.

“We are selling a maximum of only 100 tickets to the Golden Horseshoe raffle which increases the chances of winning this dream trip,” said Christine Preto, an Active at TWS from Westchester, who is co-chair of the event. “The winning ticket will be drawn at the Wild, Wild Western Springs party, but the winner need not be present to win.”

Guests can sample exceptional cuisine from some of the area’s finest restaurants along with fine wines, beers, and beverages. The event will take place on the large patio in front of the theatre with activities going on indoors and outdoors. Actors and actresses of the Theatre of Western Springs will be working the event to ensure a successful evening.

“This wild western event is for the community,” said Danny Parrott, chair of the TWS Board of Governors. “It’s our chance to host an exciting summer party as a way of thanking patrons and introducing newcomers to our theatre. Everyone is welcome.”

Auction items include a polo package, a Montana getaway, North Carolina Mountain Retreat, Jewelry packages featuring David Yurman designs, gasoline gift cards, White Sox sports package, a six-string guitar, and an entertainment package that includes tickets to Lyric Opera, Classic Cinemas, Northlight Theatre, Steppenwolf, and the Chicago Sinfonietta.

Another entertainment package offers tickets to Marriott Lincolnshire, North Riverside Players, Joffrey Ballet, Court Theatre, and tickets to “A Christmas Carol” at Goodman Theatre.

“Not only is the event a fabulous deal and fabulous fun, but it is also our largest fundraiser,” said Co-chair Tammy O’Reilly. “This event helps make it possible for the western suburbs to have amazing theatre at great prices.”

The mission of the Theatre of Western Springs is to entertain, to educate, and to inspire across the generations through the art of live theatre. A not-for-profit organization founded in 1929, TWS depends on subscriptions, single ticket sales, tuition, donations, and fundraisers. Next season – 2023 – ‘24 - is the theatre’s 95th.
