Tool Thefts, House Egging: Hinsdale Cops
Tools were stolen from two places in late August in the village, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Tools stolen
- Construction tools valued at nearly $900 were stolen between 5 p.m. Aug. 20 and 8 a.m. Aug. 27 from a construction site in the 200 block of East Walnut Street. The case is pending.
- Construction tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen between 4 p.m. Aug. 20 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 26 from a garage at Claymoor Condominiums in the 300 block of Claymoor Road.
Eggs thrown

- Eggs were thrown at a house the night of Aug. 17 in the 700 block of Quincy Street.
Hit-and-run crash
- The driver of a black Dodge Charger drove away from a crash that caused property damage about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Fuller Road and Elm Street. The case is pending.

- A resident in the 800 block of South Clay Street reported that someone opened two cellphone accounts using the resident's identity. The report was made Saturday.
- A resident in the 400 block of West Eighth Place reported that someone used the resident's credit card information to make a fraudulent charge of $500 on Aug. 23.
- A resident in the 800 block of Harding Road reported that someone used the resident's credit card information to make two fraudulent charges totaling $385 on July 26. The case is pending.
