Turkey Shoot-Out: New at the Clarendon Hills Park District

Let's Talk Turkey: November 23 Event

The Clarendon Hills Park District will celebrate the day before Thanksgiving with an all new "Turkey Shoot Out" program. This parent-child free throw basketball contest will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Prospect School. This event is free of charge -- pre-registration at the Clarendon Hills Park District is requested by Nov. 18. Children and their parent will be ready to put their best shot forward with 10 free throws each. The top scoring team in each age group will receive a special prize. Boys and girls ages 8 and under will compete at 9:30 a.m., while children ages 9-10 will participate at 10 a.m.. Older children and tweens ages 11-14 will wrap up the contest at 10:30 a.m.. Shooting line and basket height will vary by age group for children enjoying the "Turkey Shoot Out." Adults will shoot from the free throw line into a 10' basket.
