
The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Theft
- Three generators were stolen from the parkway in the 400 block of East Seventh Street sometime between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on July 18. Victim placed the generators in the parkway to power pump equipment for trees being treated and when he returned the generators were gone.
Motor Vehicle Theft

- A 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan was stolen from the 700 block of South Thurlow Street sometime between 3:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. July 19. Victim reported the doors were unlocked and keys were left inside the vehicle.
- A 2010 Lexus GX460 was stolen from the 500 block of West Seventh Street sometime between 9 p.m. July 18 and 6:30 a.m. July 19. Victim reported the doors were unlocked and keys were left inside the vehicle. The car was recovered by Chicago Police on July 21.
Battery
- A known suspect knocked off the victim's glasses and broken them at 12:14 p.m. July 22 in the 0-100 block of Grant Square. Victim reported as the suspect was driving away he swerved toward the victim causing him to have to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
