Two D181 Resource Teachers Hired as PSAs

Lisa Hendrix, Christopher Reid approved at Aug. 14 board meeting

Community Consolidated School District 181 is pleased to announce that two current D181 Resource Teachers, Lisa Hendrix and Christopher Reid, were approved and hired as Pupil Service Administrators at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, August 14.

Hendrix has served as a Special Education Teacher in the District for 10 years and previously served at Trenton Elementary School for one year. She received her Master's in School Improvement Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University and Bachelor's in Education from Eastern Illinois University.

"Lisa cares deeply about the success of her students and has shown deep commitment to continuing the high-quality work being done in the District," said Dana Bergthold, Executive Director of Special Education.

Reid has served as a Special Education Teacher at Hinsdale Middle School for six years. He received his Director of Special Education Endorsement from St. Francis University; Master's in Education Administration from Concordia University; Secondary Education and LBS1 Certification from National Louis University; and Bachelor's in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University.

"We believe that the well-deserved respect Chris has earned during his time at D181, his reputation for doing excellent work, his advanced training in the area of special education, and his institutional knowledge will be a tremendous asset to students, staff and families," Bergthold said.

Hendrix and Reid were recommended for hire by District 181 staff John Munch, Bergthold, and a team of administrators.
