Unlocked Mercedes Stolen In Hinsdale
Owner's purse was left inside the vehicle, police said.
HINSDALE, IL — A 2019 Mercedes GLS was stolen from a garage in the 400 block of North Bruner Place, according to a Hinsdale police report. It happened at 5:15 a.m. Saturday.
The victim told police the garage door was likely left open and the car was unlocked with the keys inside, the report said. Also stolen were the victim's purse, $40 in cash and credit cards, police said.
According to a news release Wednesday, the car has since been recovered. The vehicle was found, but totaled in a crash on the Bishop Ford Expressway in the south suburbs, the release said.
