Virus Cases Leveling Off In Hinsdale: Agencies
The number of local coronavirus deaths remained the same in the last week.
HINSDALE, IL — New coronavirus cases numbers are leveling off in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills, according to county agencies.
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,889 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, up 15 in the last week. The week before last, the village experienced 11 new cases.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 1,005 coronavirus cases, up five in the last week. The week before last, it recorded five new cases.

Hinsdale saw no new coronavirus deaths in the last week, with the total at 61 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths stayed the same in the last week, at 13.

As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 107 coronavirus cases per thousand people since the pandemic's beginning. The figure compares to 94 in Darien, 102 in La Grange Park, 107 in DuPage County, 110 in Elmhurst, 115 in Clarendon Hills, 116 in Western Springs, 117 in suburban Cook County, 119 in Burr Ridge and 136 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands).
As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,680,908, a 0.9 percent increase from the previous week, according to the state Department of Public Health. The number of confirmed deaths so far is 25,407.
Nationally, 45.3 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported, a 1.1 percent increase from the previous week, according to the Centers for Disease Control. A total of 733,834 people have died from the virus in the United States.
