Walker School hosted an International Day that focused on Greece in honor of long-time senior reader Uly Backas's heritage.
Walker School hosted an International Day on May 26, 2016 that focused on Greece in honor of long-time senior reader Uly Backas's heritage. Students participated in a variety of activity stations all with Greek themes, including dances, games, art, and vocabulary. The day began with an all-school assembly where Backas was asked to light a ceremonial torch to tie into Greece's Olympic roots.
