Wallet Stolen In Hinsdale, Credit Card Then Used: Cops

In another case, a man driving on a flat tire was charged with DUI, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Theft

  • A man told police Aug. 17 that he lost his wallet in the 700 block of North York Road. Later, someone used one of the man's credit cards inside the wallet.

DUI

  • A 21-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at 55th and Madison streets on charges of DUI, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving a car that is in an unsafe condition, and driving a car with a suspended or revoked registration. Police said the man was driving on a flat tire. The man submitted to testing that indicated his blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Damage

  • A lamppost near a driveway in the 900 block of Harding Road was damaged overnight Saturday.

Forgery

  • Someone forged a withdrawal slip using a person's bank account information Friday at Huntington Bank, 500 W. Chestnut St. The case is pending.
