Westmont Suspect Found With Pants Down: Report

The man is accused of attacking three senior citizens last week. Much of the information is being kept secret.

WESTMONT, IL – Westmont police are keeping most details secret about last week's attack on three senior citizens.

Tyrone Price, 42, of Bellwood, was arrested on three counts of aggravated battery and one count of battery. He is being held in the DuPage County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. His photo is not on the jail's website.

Patch obtained the heavily redacted police report through a public records request.

Late last Tuesday morning, police were called about a potential stabbing at an apartment complex in the 300 block of West 60th Street, the report said. An officer said he found a moaning man laying in the grass with his pants down. He was identified as Price.

According to the report, the three victims and Price were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. An officer drove Price to the hospital because the suspect was agitated and trying to kick toward officers, police said.

Most of the police report was blacked out. Westmont has an unusual policy in which it redacts nearly all statements from witnesses and suspects. Most police departments provide such information.

The attorney general is looking into Patch's complaint that Westmont redacted most of the report on a downtown bar fight in February in which officers arrested two men.
