Wheaton Man Arrested In Hinsdale Sentenced To 8 Years In Prison For Armed Violence

A Wheaton man arrested in Hinsdale in 2016 has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

HINSDALE, IL — A Wheaton man arrested in Hinsdale in 2016 has been sentenced to eight years in prison. Arthur Seter, 22, was arrested on Jan. 8, 2016 at Ogden and Route 83 in Hinsdale, according to a release, and was charged with felony possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (30-500 grams), unlawful use of weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

According to Hinsdale Police Department, Seter was stopped for speeding, and officers found him in possession of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for cannabis. Officers also found a loaded handgun and drug paraphernalia during a search of the vehicle.

According to a release, the arrest led to a Class X felony charge of armed violence. Hinsdale Police recently received notice from DuPage County that Seter was sentenced to eight years in the department of corrections.
