This is not the first time Lonnroth was nominated for a national title for his journalism prowess. In fact, he won four national awards at the National School Press Association convention last fall and a national award from Intercollegiate Broadcast System Conference.

Winners of the Digital Story of the Year will be announced at the NSPA national convention in Washington DC, November. 21-24. Lion newspaper will be there. Last year, Lonnroth took 5th place and Honorable Mention in this national contest. This is the first time Lion has had a student nominated multiple times for the same category.
