Woman Stole $400K From Hinsdale Employer: State's Attorney
She's accused of creating a stamp of her employer's signature without authorization.

HINSDALE, IL — A Crest Hill woman has been charged after she stole more than $400,000 from a Hinsdale dental office where she worked as a part-time bookkeeper, the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office said. Roxana Dusanek, 56, appeared at a bond hearing Thursday, Dec. 6, when her bond was set at $300,000. She would need to post 10 percent, or $30,000, to be released.
The State's Attorney's Office said while employed at the dental office, Dusanek created a stamp of her employer's signature without permission and applied that stamp to hundreds of unauthorized checks that were payable to the defendant and/or her business, IMC Services Group, LLC.
Dusanek is also accused of sending unauthorized payments from her employer's bank account to her business' bank account, the State's Attorney's Office said. The thefts took place between Feb. 13, 2014 and June 23, 2017, according to authorities.

Prosecutors said Dusanek’s scheme was uncovered by authorities at the dental office, who immediately contacted the Hinsdale Police Department. An investigation by the Hinsdale Police Department led to Dusanek, who has been charged with two counts of theft in excess of $100,000, one count of continuing financial crimes enterprise and six counts of forgery.
“It is alleged that through her actions, Roxana Dusanek caused a great financial hardship to her employer,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said.
