Woman Sent 'Free Puppy' Internet Scammer Shipping Money: Poilce
The scammer asked for $265 and an additional $1,000.

A woman was deceived by an Internet scammer who instructed her to send money for shipping costs for a free puppy.
She sent $265 to the scammer between Aug. 28 and 30, according to Hinsdale police.
Someone called the woman and requested an additional $1,000 for shipping costs, but she realized it was a scam and reported the fraud Aug. 30.
