2 Killed In Homer Glen Crash: Sheriff

Three additional people were also transported to area hospitals in critical condition, police said.

HOMER GLEN, IL — Two people were killed in a traffic crash on Tuesday in Homer Glen, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office. Three additional people were also transported to area hospitals in critical condition, police said.

143rd Street in Homer Glen is closed between Chicory Trail and King Road due to the crash, according to a notification from the Village. The Village said the road will be closed for four to five hours.

The sheriff's office said the crash happened at 5:25 p.m. at 143rd Street and King Road. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.

Preliminary reports indicate that one of the vehicles may have driven into oncoming traffic and struck the other two vehicles, according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office confirmed that one man and one woman were killed in the crash.

The scene remains under investigation as deputies reconstruct the incident, police said.
