18-Hole Disc Golf Course Layout Approved In Homer Glen

The 18-hole, 6,200-foot-long course will begin north of the Heritage Park parking lot near the bike trail.

HOMER GLEN, IL — At its June 24 meeting, the Homer Glen village board approved the layout for an 18-basket disc golf course at Heritage Park after several years of planning.

According to board documents, a disc golf course was included when the concept plan for Heritage Park was completed in 2017. Homer Glen resident and former Parks and Recreation committee member Thor Batchelor worked on the design plan for the 6,200-foot-long course.

Board documents state the course uses various elevations in the park, including the sled hill, and also requires players to cross multiple ponds and tall grasses. The course will begin north of the Heritage Park parking lot near the bike trail.
