2 LTHS Board Members Recognized As Distinguished Board Leaders

Board members Lou Ann Johnson and Michael Lewandowski were recognized for their title at Monday's school board meeting.

LOCKPORT, IL - Two Lockport Township High School Board of Education members have been awarded the title of distinguished board leader by the Illinois Association of School Boards.

Board members Lou Ann Johnson and Michael Lewandowski were recognized for their title at Monday's school board meeting.

According to the LTHS website, Lewandowski has served as a board member since 1999, and Johnson has served since 2009.

Lewandowski has served on several boards, including on the Illinois Association of School Boards Governing Board, the Illinois Association of School Boards as the LTHS delegate; and is the current chair of the IASB Three Rivers Division.

Johnson also is active on many boards, including National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc., Northeastern Illinois Agency on Aging, Guardian Angel Community Service Board, Advocates United for Joliet Children, among others.
