2 Men In Critical Condition After Lockport Township Shooting: Sheriff
One man, 36, had been shot in the face, hand and leg; and another man, 34, had been shot in the back.
WILL COUNTY, IL — Two men were shot Oct. 14 in the 1600 block of Fairmont Avenue in Lockport Township, the Will County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Police responded to a home at 8:23 p.m. Friday after a report of multiple shots fired to find that two people had been shot outside a home while sitting in a vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies began providing medical aid to two men when they arrived, according to the sheriff's office. One man, 36, had been shot in the face, hand and leg; and another man, 34, had been shot in the back.

Lockport Township Fire personnel arrived and took both victims to the local hospital, where they were stabilized but in critical condition, according to the sheriff's office. Both victims were later transferred for further treatment. Both remain in critical condition.
Information gathered from the victims at the scene and neighbors indicates that the two men had been inside the home and went to leave in their vehicle, when unknown subjects approached the vehicle from behind and began firing gunshots into the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

A total of 33 shell casings from different types of firearms were found on scene, the sheriff's office said.
It is believed that the offenders were on foot and no identifying information has been gathered, police said.
Investigators have been canvassing the neighborhood and surrounding area to collect video surveillance footage and gather additional information, police said.
