7th grade girls basketball team headed to State

The Homer Junior High School 7th grade girls basketball team is headed to State.

The team defeated Minooka Junior High last night (Dec. 2) to earn the IESA Sectional and a trip to State.

“All of the girls have done well this year, playing hard from the beginning of each game until the end,” said Coach Adam Kueltzo. “I am so proud of them for putting forth such a huge effort during this playoff run and earning the Sectional Championship and the chance to compete for the IESA State Title.”

The Mustangs will compete next at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 5) at Normal Parkside Junior High, 101 N. Parkside Road, Normal. You can follow their progress on Saturday using this link.
