8 Candidates File For Lockport City Council Alderperson Elections
The election is April 4.
LOCKPORT, IL — Eight candidates have filed so far for the Lockport City Council alderperson elections in the upcoming April 4 consolidated election.
The City Clerk's office will remain open until 5 p.m. on Monday, which is the last day candidates can file nomination petitions at City Hall.
There are several alderperson seats up for election on the City Council, including:

- First ward alderperson, 4-year term
- Second ward alderperson, 4-year term
- Second ward alderperson, 2-year term
- Third ward alderperson, 4-year term
- Fourth ward alderperson, 4-year term
Candidates who have filed petitions so far are, per the City Clerk's Office:
- Mark Lobes, Ward 1
- Jonathan Pugh, Ward 1
- JR Gillogly, Ward 2
- Patrick McDonald, Ward 2
- Jennifer Fracaro, Ward 2
- Jane Passaglia – Ward 2
- Darren Deskin – Ward 3
- Joanne Bartelsen – Ward 4

Lobes, who currently serves as an at-large member on the council; Gillogly, who currently serves as a 2nd Ward alderperson; McDonald, who was appointed to the council as an alderperson earlier this year after the death of Alderman Larry Schreiber; and Bartelsen, who is currently the 4th Ward alderperson.
Deskin, a candidate for Ward 3, has also previously served as an alderperson.
