LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department's annual Community Celebration is set for Saturday and will feature activities for kids and families, and a chance to meet some Lockport Police officers and other community partners.
The celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at LTHS East parking lot, 1333 E. Seventh St.
The department said the celebration will feature a touch-a-truck, business expo, free hot dogs (while supplies last), music, bounce house, games and activities, police vehicles and equipment, and opportunity to meet some officers. A LifeStar Joliet helicopter is also scheduled to land between noon and 1 p.m.
The celebration will happen rain or shine.
