LOCKPORT, IL — Thousands are without power in the Homer Glen and Lockport areas, after severe weather rolled through the area on Tuesday.
According to the ComEd outage map, as of 11:30 a.m., 5,947 customers in Lockport were without power.
The City of Lockport shared that City Hall has no power, and its phone servers are down.
"The police department has power and is actively operational to clear blocked roads," the City shared. "Please call the non emergency line if there is a tree blocking the road, at (815) 838-2131. If there is a power line down, please call 911."
In Homer Glen, 3,270 customers are without power.
A tornado warning was in effect for both towns, but has now expired.
