Storm Clean-Up Continues In Lockport, Homer Glen

HOMER GLEN, IL — Storm clean-up continues in Lockport and Homer Glen after severe weather rolled through the area on Tuesday.

According to the ComEd Outage Map, 2,454 are still without power in Homer Glen, and 1,979 customers are without power in Lockport. There are also 559 without power in Homer Township, and 595 without power in Lockport Township.

The Village of Homer Glen said Wednesday morning that 37 power outages still remain.

ComEd has estimated that 80 percent of outages will be restored by noon on Thursday, with 99 percent restored by 11 p.m. on Aug. 15.

"If you have power, we encourage you to check on your neighbors and see if they need any assistance," the Village said.

The City of Lockport said public works crews continue to clean up debris. Residents can place branches at the curb. Starting on Aug. 17, crews will travel every street to collect storm debris.
