Masked Men Burglarize Homer Glen Gas Station, Smash Gaming Machines: Cops

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Gas N Wash in Homer Glen was burglarized early Saturday, the Will County Sheriff's Office shared.

Deputies were called to 15930 W. 159th St., at 4:10 a.m. on Saturday for a burglary in progress, the sheriff's office said.

When police arrived, they say the burglars were gone.

A witness told police that four or five men entered the store, wearing ski masks and carrying sledgehammers. The sheriff's office said the group headed for the gaming machines and began to destroy them.

The group was inside the store for two minutes and took an unknown amount of cash, police said.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is still ongoing.
