WILL COUNTY, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office conducted an impaired driving enforcement effort over Labor Day weekend, and made 14 arrests for driving under the influence, according to a news release.
The sheriff's office also issued 35 citations for speeding, 12 citations for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, one cell phone violation citation, one child restraint citation and 61 citations for other violations.
Police also made eight arrests for having suspended, revoked or no valid driver's licenses, the sheriff's office said.
The effort was part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," "Drive High, Get A DUI," and "Click It or Ticket" intiatives.
