Unreported Shots Fired Incident In Lockport: Sheriff's Office Asks Residents To Review Video Footage

The sheriff's office said that several shots were fired in the 200 block of Weslyan Street in Lockport at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 2.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office is looking for video footage residents may have from the 200 block of Weslyan Street on Sept. 2, police shared.

The sheriff's office said that several shots were fired in the 200 block of Weslyan Street in Lockport at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 2. Detectives discovered the unreported shots fired incident while investigating a separate incident.

There were no calls for service or reports of shots fired made to Will County Sheriff's Police or Laraway Communications Center, according to the sheriff's office.

"We are requesting residents in the area to please review any video footage they may have from the timeframe of 5:15-5:45 p.m. [on Sept. 2], the sheriff's office said. "Also, please check for any unexplained damage that may have been caused by possible gunfire."
