Embers, 933 Speakeasy To Temporarily Stop Restaurant Operations

LOCKPORT, IL — Embers and 933 Speakeasy will temporarily close regular restaurant operations until further notice starting Sept. 21, the business shared on its Facebook page.

"Over the past five years, our current management team has worked tirelessly to move Embers and 933 Speakeasy forward - overcoming challenges, making significant improvements, and creating a restaurant and gathering place we are truly proud of," the business said.

However, the restaurant said it continues to face challenges that require "difficult decisions."

As it takes a temporary pause on regular restaurant operations, the business said it will continue to honor and operate all currently booked private parties.

"This temporary pause will give us the opportunity to regroup, reassess, and determine the best path forward for Embers and 933 Speakeasy," the business said.

The restaurant is located at 933 S. State St., in downtown Lockport.

"We remain hopeful that this is simply a pause - not a goodbye - and that we'll have the opportunity to welcome everyone back through our doors again soon," the business shared.
