Back To School: Homer Consolidated 33C 2021-22 School Calendar

HOMER GLEN, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Homer Glen, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Homer Consolidated School District 33C.

The first day of school for most students in Homer Glen is August 18, which will be a partial day for students.

Superintendent Craig Schoppe said that masks will be voluntary for those who are fully vaccinated but will be required for students and staff who have not received the coronavirus vaccine. Students, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks on district school buses, Schoppe said.

Other health guidance, like cleaning and disinfection procedures, frequent handwashing, and 3 feet of social distancing as much possible, will still be in place at the district, Schoppe wrote in a letter to district parents earlier this month.
