Black History Month Celebration Planned At Lockport Park District
Participants of the event will receive a resource book to help cultivate learning and also a list of local Black-owned businesses to visit.
LOCKPORT, IL — Black History Month is celebrated in February, and the Lockport Township Park District will hold a drive-thru celebration on Feb. 6 at Fairmont Community Center, 525 Barry Ave.
According to the park district Facebook, the drive-thru event will be held to 1 to 3 p.m. and each participant will receive an activity/resource book to help cultivate learning and also a list of local Black-owned businesses to visit.
Each person in the car will also receive a wrapped cake pop from Lockport bakery, Eat Moore Cakes.
