Burglary, Theft, DUI: Homer Glen, Lockport Police Reports

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Lockport

• Someone broke into the business office of Metal Recycling, 20630 W. Gaskin Drive, on Oct. 27 and stole $40.

Homer Glen

• A cement cutter and laser level were stolen from a job site in the 16000 block of South Syd Creek drive on Oct. 23.
• Joshua Rachner, 25, of Orland Park, was arrested Oct. 23 at 159th Street and Bell Road for DUI-drugs, operating an uninsured vehicle, unsafe tires, defective windshield, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol.
• Two unlocked cars were entered in the 13000 block of South Hampton Court on Oct. 26. A wallet was stolen from one of the cars and two garage door openers were stolen from the other.
• Someone broke a side window and the front glass door of Pizza Mia, 14413 S. Bell Road on Oct. 29. The owner determined a small amount of cash was stolen from a cash drawer. Video surveillance was reviewed and it was determined that one person broke into the business around midnight, stole the cash and left the store.
• Someone broke into a home in the 14000 block of South Gadwall Court on Oct. 29 and stole multiple pieces of jewelry and a small amount of cash.
