Butler School hosts professional development day for music educat
To discuss Illinois' recently adopted Music Learning Standards

On Tuesday, March 20, the Illinois Music Educators Association and the Will County Regional Office of Education will offer workshops for professional development in the area of music education.
Topics include:
- Using Technology to Assess Student Learning in the Music Classroom
- Illinois Music Learning Standards
- Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning in the Music Classroom
- Comprehensive Musicianship Through Performance
The FREE workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m. at William J. Butler School, 1900 Farrell Road, Lockport.

Music educators are encouraged to register early at www.pdaonline.org to secure their spot.
“This professional development opportunity will be beneficial for music educators of any level,” said Butler School music teacher Joel Hoffman who is looking forward to welcoming presenters and fellow music educators to his school on March 20.
